New York Botanical Garden Wedding | Matt + Nicole

Written by Darren on July 14, 2011
Occasionally Taylor or I are asked by one of our photographer friends to help them out by second shooting at one of their weddings. Second shooting is always a great opportunity for me to see how another photographer works, to expand my own creativity, try new things and take different angles with my photography. The extremely talented Julia Newman of Julia Newman Photography asked me to come along with her to The New York Botanical Garden to photograph Matt and Nicole’s wedding, and I’m thrilled I had the opportunity. Below are a few of my shots from the day. New York City | Shane+Courtney Engaged!

Written by Taylor on January 20, 2011
It was a HOT day in the city with Shane and Courtney. And I mean that in every way. After meeting up at Washington Square Park, we made our way over to the piers snapping shots all the way. By the time we got back down from shooting on the docks, it was sweltering. We got a few bottles of ice cold water and Shane DOWNED that thing. Seriously, like one really big gulp and the bottle was empty. Honestly, I would have died of brain freeze or something. But, we all felt better and Darren got a chance to use his fisheye lens before we wrapped up a great shoot. Shane and Courtney are totally cool and we can’t wait for their wedding coming up this year!!! new_jersey_wedding_photographer_01.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_02.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_03.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_04.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_05.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_06.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_07.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_08.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_09.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_10.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_11.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_12.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_13.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_14.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_15.jpgnew_jersey_wedding_photographer_16.jpg

Liberty State Park | Eric+Martina Engaged

Written by Taylor on January 15, 2011
It was such a privilege to be able to shoot my own cousin’s wedding pictures. Martina and I go way back, all the way to before my 4th birthday party, when my dad dressed up like Batman and sent her screaming and weeping in terror at first sight of him. Liberty state park was one of those shoots that really surprised us. Darren and I had both been there many times, but once you go there with your eyes opened, and you start looking around for opportunities to shoot awesome photographs, the place comes alive. The four of us found some awesome scenery that we had walked or driven past a hundred times in the past, and never stopped to notice. A good lesson that when you stop to smell the flowers, you might just find a skyline filled with shimmering New York skyscrapers. Eric and Martina, we wish you all the love in the world in your blossoming new life together! Thanks for an awesome shoot.
