Luis + Shirley’s Wedding | Meadow Wood Manor

Written by Taylor on June 18
Luis is a buddy of ours back from our days of working at Apple. Now he’s an Apple guru. The student has become the master.

Meadow Wood Manor was hopping with dancing, amazing food, and LOTS of Spanish conversation. Shirly is from Colombia, and despite the fact that I can only speak some rudimentary Spanglish, I had no trouble understanding her smile.

Luis and Shirly, muchas gracias, y Dios los bendiga.

Steve + Marianne | Brooklake Country Club

Written by Darren on May 17
Steve and Marianne had some gorgeous weather for their awesome wedding day at Brooklake Country Club in Florham Park NJ, that is until about 10 minutes after we finished their outdoor portraits when it started pouring outside. We’re talking cats and dogs here. But it didn’t matter, because by then Steve and Marianne were already devouring some much deserved cocktail hour food, and shortly after that they were getting their dance on and rocking it in the PhotoBooth. Here are a few black and white shots from the day.

The setting sun was the biggest star at this quiet outdoor wedding last fall. I love shooting into the sun, making the subject light up in an angelic glow, fabricating orbs of lens flare all over the composition. This wedding was on the edge of a little lake, with the sun beaming through the leaves… what could be more epic for a beautiful and majestic moment like this? Genna has been a good friend of Darren and I ever since the days of high school. It was an honor to be a part of her wedding, and it was wonderful to see her and Marco so happy together. After the ceremony, we took a stroll through the falling leaves and captured some amazing portraits. More lens flare… I love it! Genna looked gorgeous, absolutely stunning, and Marco had a huge smile plastered to his face the whole time. After portraits, we stayed for a little reception in the woodsy clubhouse and took pictures, ate some fantastic cookies (what were those?) and caught some shots of the impromptu dance party that broke out later in the evening. Move the tables and chairs aside, anything can be a dance floor.

Genna and Marco, congratulations on your momentous day, thank you for allowing us to witness it as your friends and photographers. We wish you God’s best.
