Genna + Marco Get Married | Lake Hopatcong, New Jersey

Written by Taylor on May 24
The setting sun was the biggest star at this quiet outdoor wedding last fall. I love shooting into the sun, making the subject light up in an angelic glow, fabricating orbs of lens flare all over the composition. This wedding was on the edge of a little lake, with the sun beaming through the leaves… what could be more epic for a beautiful and majestic moment like this? Genna has been a good friend of Darren and I ever since the days of high school. It was an honor to be a part of her wedding, and it was wonderful to see her and Marco so happy together. After the ceremony, we took a stroll through the falling leaves and captured some amazing portraits. More lens flare… I love it! Genna looked gorgeous, absolutely stunning, and Marco had a huge smile plastered to his face the whole time. After portraits, we stayed for a little reception in the woodsy clubhouse and took pictures, ate some fantastic cookies (what were those?) and caught some shots of the impromptu dance party that broke out later in the evening. Move the tables and chairs aside, anything can be a dance floor.

Genna and Marco, congratulations on your momentous day, thank you for allowing us to witness it as your friends and photographers. We wish you God’s best.

Wow?! As much as I love the work our wedding photographer did, you’re making me want a complete ‘do-over’!!!
Absolutely stunning photography! I LOVE the way you capture the sunlight flare in your picture, so warm & glamorous – of course it helps to have such a beautiful couple to photograph! =)
Be ready next year, you’re inspiring me to want to whisk Shari away with our immediate family & close friends to celebrate our 10 year anniversary on some remote, romantic island, and fly you two out to capture the ceremony and celebration after, so we can have THESE kinds of visual memories!!
