It was Mary Anne and Rich’s idea to come to the Cloisters in New York City for their engagement shoot. Darren and I like to scout if we’re going to a new location and when we looked around the grounds outside this castle-like museum, we knew it was going to be an awesome engagement session. I think I might have come here for a school field trip once. I seem to remember tapestries.
The weather held up beautifully, and we had a fantastic time. In the course of the shoot, we witnessed a Shakespearean play on the grounds, an attempted mugging (not really but I swear he was eyeing my telephoto lens), and a rare moment of poetic poignancy, when a butterfly landed on Rich’s head, which I believe is seen in some cultures as a sign of beauty.
Rich and Mary Anne, thanks for an awesome awesome time! We wish you God’s best in your new lives together!!PS: If you like one of these photos, be sure to hit the “like” button… the photo with the most likes might get somebody a prize… The most-liked photos will show up over on the side of the blog.
